Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
Fabric Hostel has no curfew and no lock-out. Our reception is open every day from 8.00 a.m. to 2.00 a.m. for the check-ins, to give turist information, to grant the controlled access into the hostel, or just to talk!
From 2.00 a.m. to 8.00 a.m., it is not possible to check-in, but those who already checked in, can enter with a key-code whenever they desire.
The Hostel works all year long.
Position
Fabric Hostel is located in the center of Portici, a nice neighbourhood not distant from Naples downtown. It's a very quiet and nice area, full of green spaces (there's a very wide park just 5 min. from the hostel), historical villas and the beautiful Royal Palace.
This neighbourhood is exactly in the middle of many points of interest: going southwards, there are some of the most important archaeological sites of the world such as Pompeii and Hercolaneum ruins, but also beautiful natural spots to visit such as Mount Vesuvius and its National Park, Capri island, the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento while in the other direction there is the Naples old town, Pozzuoli and its volcanic area, Ischia and Procida Islands.
The Hostel is very well connected to all these sites thanks to two train lines (the local one called Circumvesuviana and the National one called Trenitalia), many buses that run also at night, and during the summer the Metrò del Mare - a kind of metro but instead of the train you will get into a hydrofoil! All their stops are just few minutes away from the Hostel. And for people coming by car there is a Highway exit just for Portici.
Many Bathrooms
Each floor has many common bathrooms, with toilets, showers, sinks, plugs and mirrors.
The bathrooms-per-people ratio is very high, there's one lavatory, shower and toilet every 5 beds, while of course the private doubles ensuite rooms have their private bathroom.
There are also 2 sinks to wash your clothes on every floor. Finally we have a laundry service (wash and dry) available for our guests.
Frequent Cleaning
During the day the bathrooms are often cleaned by our staff so that our guests can always find them in the best conditions!
The rooms are cleaned at least once a day; bed linen and towels are changed every time the guest changes.
Free bed linen and towels
Everyone will find his bed made, with clean sheets, blanket and a comfortable pillow! Bed linen is provided for free, while the towels can be rented; in the private double rooms ensuite instead the towels are provided for free!
Free Internet Connection
In the Common Room there are PCs with internet connection that can be used for free, and if you have your own laptop you can use our free Wi-Fi connection.
You can freely book your next hostel, use the Microsoft Messenger or check your email... Printing is also available from the laser printer of the reception.
Free Music Instruments
We also provide some musical instruments that our guests can freely use!
Free TV
In the common room there is a big Plasma TV with Satellite Receiver (SKY bouquet with movies, sport events, news, documentaries and cartoons, as well as all the free satellite channels) and a DVD player: you can watch movies or listen to your CDs or MP3 collections; we also lend (for free) many movies in different languages so that anyone can relax in the hostel if he's too tired after a full day!
Free Luggage Room
When you check out you don't have to bring all your backpacks and stuff with you, you can leave them in our luggage room without any extra charge!
Free Lockers
Each of you will get for free one or two wide lockers, with their own key, just next to the bed, where it's possible to safely leave all your belongings. |
